Default Modding my tail lights Opinions please.

Iím toying with a slight alteration to the rear lights. Iím thinking of colour coding the side of the glass where it meets the wing. Theres three ideas. What do we think?

    Now:

    1. Follow the line of the top curve through the side:

    2. have the line meet the bottom corner of the glass:

    3. Colour the entire side of the glass.

    Another view:

    Now:

    Option 1

    Option 2

    Option 3

I think option 2 looks a lot better it and flows with the lines of the car.

Would be very interested to see how this goes.

With another vehicle approching you side on, would not painting the light unit not obsure it sideways on?

Certainly I would have thought so if approaching the vehicle from a 30 Degree angle, from the front?

Also painting the plastic units, have you tried on an old one? The reason I ask is could the paint not damage the unit?

Either way, I think Leave as is, or option 1 best

I'd leave as is for two reasons...

    1) Looks fine as is.

    2) Even if you paint over the lights I'd think the lights would still shine through the paint making it 'glow', so could look weird.

Leave them alone IMO. Although option three would make you easier to spot on a crowded motorway.
