CD70 Crashed

Whilst driving home from work today I got a call via my parrot bluetooth.
Answered the phone and the CD70 displayed "External in".

Then....... nothing.

Display remained "external in" for the rest of the journey and I couldnt switch the unit off either with the button or with the ignition logic. Nor could I use the radio or CD Player.

Left car with ignition off for twenty minutes but it still displayed "External In".

I eventually took the fuse out (No 1) and the CD70 reset itself when the fuse was replaced. Anyone else had this problem?

yep had the same (often!!!!!!!!) switch ur phone then off for a min then back on should solve also there is an option in the the cd70 display menu that you can check(x) when this happens

Tried switching phone on and off. Drove home with the phone off (20 mins) Didnt work. Nothing on CD70 menu worked either. The only way to reset it appears to have been to remove the power source.

hmm dunno ive found a box that if you check or uncheck it cant remember which then this solves it did you try disconnecting bluetooth

I disconnected the bluetooth. Also, once the ignition switched off the bluetooth unit switched off but the CD70 stayed on with the "External In" message. It just froze. I also got the Satnav working but no sound.
Hopefully its resolved but I will be waiting everytime the phone rings for this to happen again!

i know a mate with the same problem though dont think it has lasted as long as yours has i have found some phones have caused ut to stay off for longer i think the system does have issues but dont know the answer as dissconnecting has normally fixed it for me though i know i shouldnt have to do this

Not sure what to get rid of, the phone.... or the Vectra!!!

well ive had 2 diff fones and 1 same issue so the vec has to go loll

Its your phone kit playing up not the headunit , its holding it on mute unplug the parrot kit and it will work again.
