    Default Better cup holders

    Hi all,

so, had my Signum (56 plate 2.2 Direct Design) since March and generally very pleased however the drinks holders (centre console in front of handbrake) are next to useless for anything other than cans.

Anyone have any experience / ideas for either improving them to allow Styrofoam/card takeaway coffee cups and standard size water bottles to be held securely or, alternative holders?

    ta

I tend to use the cup holders that are in the middle of the back seats.. (not sure if they're on the later models, mines a 52.) The one that's kinda hidden and you have to push it to make them pop out of the front of the middle seat.

It's a pain having to reach back for them, but you get used to it. I haven't tried it with coffee cups yet, i usually drink from bottles or cans, the ones in the back are perfect for supersize drinks at burger king though!! Saves them falling over when you're on your way home.

You could always try cutting out a piece of polystyrene and stick that in the cup holder, then have a smaller hole cut out in the middle for the coffee cups... won't look very nice, but might do the trick!

Cradle adapter is there for people like me that live in the car and want to keep the phone permantly charged or I would have a permanant flat battery. The cup holders work a treat for me. Medium and large Costa cups sit in the back one away from the gear stick. THere is a cup in mine most of the time but your' right doesnt sit in there well and I have used the rear seat ones from time to time and yes a pain to turn to get it. The ones in the old Vec B on the dash workd a treat. Shame they couldn't do it with this one in stead of that silly little gap that noting fits and if it does fit it slides down the back and I can't get my fingers down to get it out or I struggle.

Fair enough, I dont know of another factory bluetooth kit that comes with a cradle dock though, Wouldnt mind but they dont even do a cradle for my N95. The rear Holders are Fine though...

Exactly what I do, so it does have a use but its not really fit for purpose.
