    Eek it's time

its now time for the letting the cat out of the bag

the high flow intercooler with it 2 1/2 ins pipe is on and running

it whent on the rollers today to see if was all ok and interpro are happy that it's time to play and they do mean play.

the diesel timming is on the move maybe boost to "but iv been told it's going to do what im looking for " so it looks like it will stay on standard boost for a bit.

it's going to have a one off map and it not going to be for fullpower but a right old good drive ,,,pull like a train.

looking for a very good power curve with all the power i will ever need

i whent in there 247bhp cdti and it drives like a pig ,a load of lag to deal with then wham buckets of power to deal with .
there 195 bhp feels faster and a much better drive

there is a very fine line on what power works and what dosnt.

if you want the 240 mark then it drives like a pig but 195 drives so well

make your mind up the one off rolling road or the car you can drive with the wife in.

i want to be able to drive my puppy and a press of the and the wolf comes out to play

this is the wolf in sheeps clothing

I'll take the 240Bhp and it driving like a pig thank you, but will the turbo run reliably thought it needed a new turbo to take this kind of grunt?

it's a new turbo job and with the turbo comes a load of lag

it was shocking to drive ,,you needed to rev the guts out of the thing to get the most from it all the power comes in after 4000 rpm its like opening a flood gate.
4200rpm gets you 130bhp then 800rpm later you have it all 240+ then it drops like a brick

like i said it's a real pig to drive

the 0 to 60 was about 10.5 seconds its all turbo lag

Thats exactly the same as Andrew got with his DAP Developments Astra.

They were aiming at 240 BHP and said it was 'undrivable' - Loads of lag and then BAM all the power at once... with a load of diesel soot out the back as well.

Forget 240 BHP it doesnt look like it can be easily done, unless you have the twin turbo setup.

Andrew is now running around 220 BHP, but he spent a lot of time and money for that extra 20 BHP and I honestly dont think its worth the effort (unless you want to prove a point that it can be done or... you want the best results at the Rolling Road day).

I would settle for 200 BHP or slightly over with around 330 lbft... Thats what I want to try and get to... without spending £1000's

BUT CHRIS.... WHAT WERE YOUR FIGURES WITH THE FMIC ON !!!!! - STOP AVOIDING THE QUESTION
