    Default Something was a-foot.

I don't know what was going on this evening, but on my way home two fully livered up Volvo V70 police cars came roaring passed me on the M62 heading for Brighouse. Then a few unmarked cars screamed passed -

    Dark Grey Audi A3 5dr
    Burgandy Nissan Terrano
    Black VW Bora

and the best of all -

    Silver Astra Mk4 Coupe

All had their front strobes on and were really pushing it. The Astra Coupe really surprised me to be a police car.

Does anyone know what was going on?

Not heard anything on the local news. Were they going eastbound or
    westbound?

Sounds like an interesting mix of cars there. What time was it?
Driver training use vec c's and a 5 series for pursuit training so that seems
unlikely but not impossible, I'll keep my ears open and see if i can find anything
    out.

I use the M62 frequently. I have seen these guys before although it is usually on the westbound run up to the M6.

I know they have to train but they really do take some risks IMO. As it has already been said, they don't hang around!
