A bit of an announcement.....
........I'm going to be a Dad!!!
We've known for a few weeks and had just told family and close friends so far. We were going to wait for the first (12 week) scan to check everything was looking good before 'announcing it to the world'.
Jane ended up having a scan the other day to check on some pains she'd been having (nothing untoward as it happened), so once we saw that there was a little 'un there with a heartbeat we thought we may as well let everyone else know now. She'll still be having the scheduled 12 week scan in a few weeks time.
They can't tell if it's a boy or girl at this stage, but here's a pic of Junior.
We're both over the moon as we only decided to let nature take it's course earlier this year, so it all happened relatively quickly! So lots of things to do before April - sorting out the room for the 'nursery', getting bits and bobs, got a bit of DIY to do as well so going to be busy, busy, busy between now and then.
You may have noticed I haven't been posting on here as much lately - this being the reason. This will certainly continue to be the case over the forthcoming months. The time I'll be spending on the club/forum will be more behind the scenes working with Graeme on a number of things for the club, and less time posting replies etc. in threads etc. I'll still be around though, not disappearing altogether.
One upshot of the news is that it kinda rules me out for Irmscher 2008. Methinks if I went away the week before it's due I'd be a dead man!!!
So, that's my news!!
