Hi all, If I put 1cm spacers all round with longer bolts what will these do to the tracking. Will I need to get it re tracked or will it throw out more than the tracking.
Will it need to have the tracking worked out because of adding the spacers? I suppose what I am trying to say is what changes need to be made if any if I fit spacers. Has anyone used spacers?

it won't affect the tracking, but it may well make it harder to get the balance of the wheels right..seriously, i'd just forget the spacers and get wheels with the correct offset to give the look you want..

Well I have gone and ordered the 1cm spacers from Euro Performance. They said they sell hundreds and never have a problem. They suggest getting the the tracking etc checked which I was going to do anyway as I have fitted new sports shocks and lowered springs. Give feedback when its all done which might help other users who have been thinking about doing the same thing. I suppose pics before and after might be a good idea as well.

If your GSi alloys have an offset of 45, spacers 1cm spacers would add 10mm on, being a neg offset this will take it off, therefore your alloys will be 35 , which would work, but if the gsi ones are 43, it would give you 33 which would scrape as 35 is the max you will get off with. dunno the offset of gsi alloys but i reckon you will struggle, especially lowered ...

The GSi allys are ET41..Just been up to the shed to look at my old wheels....

this will give you an ET of 31..so i'd worry about catching on the rear arches..they where close on my lowered car without the spacers..

And the fronts on full lock, a non starter I would say, but nothing ventured !! They are a narrower wheel than 35 offset 19`s so you might make it ??

I read somewhere on here that a guy had fitted 20mm to the rear of his estate so I would think 10mm on the back should be ok. As for the fronts time will tell! Can someone tell me what offset means please.
