    Default Problem locking car

I usually press the key twice when i lock the car to 'deadlock' it, but today it has stopped locking twice. It just locks the once then doesnt do anything when i press it again. the alarm still works tho. Any ideas?

Have you pressed the ultra-sonic button on the dash, i think deactivating that stops the deadlocks from working. HTH

I thought that pressing the button on the dash just switched off the ultrasonic,s in case you left a child or a dog in the car.

    How do you mean?
I have just been out to my car and pressed the button on the dash[presumably switching of the ultrasonic,s], I was then still able to deadlock the car by pressing the key twice. I then unlocked the car and pressed the button on the dash [presumably swithing on the ultrasonic,s again] I was again still able to dead lock the car. I am now off to read the car manual.

press the button as you exit the car, then just lock as normal.. the interior sensors will be off.... it's as easy as that..

Ok Mark how do you switch them back on. I have just been out to have a mess with the alarm on mine and I can not see any "visable" difference when pressing the button on the dash, so I am not sure if it is on or off? or may be I am just thick................ Don,t all answer that one at once.

LOL.. which part of the statement..

pushing the button should illuminate the LED inside..this feature only works once.. as in when you lock it again the sensors automatically work again..one push, one useage..

did that sound right to you??..might not have put that clearly..
