Default any electrical wiz kids here

hi guys as to my last thread for needing a power steering pump, i have found out that i dont need one (or at least i dont think so) i have took the front bumper of my car and unpluged the live and earth plug and connected the pump directly to the batt useing jump leads, with the ignition on and the pump kicks in then reconnect the plug and start the car steering works perfect no problems untill you switch the car of for 5 mins go to start the car and guess what (you`ve got it) no power steering. can any one please held with this solution many thanks
