yep I have a porter cable and it takes quite a while to do the whole car. First you need to clay it - thats a 1/3 of the day gone, then the rest of day is spent with the porter cable. you cant buy them in this country because the dont have an earth, so you need to import them from America ( I bought mine whilst on holiday there). then you need the 240 - 110v transformer (£50). So you are looking at £200 by the time you bought the pads, polishes and glazes. Worth it imo though.

I'm probabily going to wait for the new "Ultimate detailing Machine" but still considering the 7424 - managed to find some new ones on eBay from USA and with the current exchange rate of 2:1 it works out as £80 (Inc.P&P to UK) but no pads and 110v transformer, which my dad can sort out because he's an electrician!

I'd have to get the pads from: www.cleanyourcar.co.uk then the Pinnacle XMT or Megs #83 from elsewhere. I've got a few surface scratches but does'nt catch my fingernail so it can be buffed out with XMT Swirl remover #3 or 3M Perfect it III (I've tried Megs. Scratch X with tonnes for elbow grease and no success)

Overall don't mind spending £200 on my investment (despite the heavy depriciation) atleast that'll maintain the value as opposed to lower it!
