    Default 1.7 CDTI Astra Van (sorry, non vectra!!)

    Was speaking with my boss and telling him I had found the tuning boxes for the cdti's but was not sure if it would work on his 1.7 CDTi Astra Van? Does it have a DPF?

    Would it work? 53 plate BTW.

    a mate of mine wanted a caterman box for his 1.7 cdti astra 56 plate i think, and he couldn't find one, although he did find a dtuk and another one, but were too pricey for him........

    yes, it will work....and no, shouldn't have a DPF on a 53 plate van..BUT , the boxes are very dear for what you get..and they have been suggestions that they cause premature failure of the injectors and fuel system....too many here for co-incidence..

    Is that specific to the 1.7's or the cdti range in general?

    seems to be the lot mate.....not all are affected, but enough are to raise an eyebrow about it..
