Ive got the V6CDTi with standard 17 SRi wheels and the big brakes are standard on that. Although I've never tried it (touch wood) I have a spacesaver so it must be OK.

    there isn't a problem.

The space saver is standard issue on my car, as are the large brakes.

Yes, they're fine behind the space saver, and you don't need new dust guards, the discs fit - just - behind the originals.

unless you have the estate or signum, junk the spacesaver, it's just bad news..

and yes, the brake upgrade is easy to fit.. you will find that the dust sheild is a bit smaller than you expect as it really only protects the lower balljoint, the rest is left out to air..if you have any real trouble, just post up and we'll guide you through it..

remove the black plastic spacer ring in the bootwell and yes, a standard wheel will fit into a hatch or a saloon..

tips?..do one side at a time and use hose clamps to minimise fluid loss..replace the washers either side of the banjo hose connection and don't overtighten the banjo bolt..then just use an 'easybleed' ( avaliable from halfords for around a tenner) and pressure bleed the air out..just make sure when you assemble the caliper to the hose you put it on the correct side with the bleed nipple upperwards ( eh Plasma..)..
