Eek Lights problem - lights out

    Hi all,

I'm back again in need of a bit of help. I know I haven't complied with regulations yet but I'm hoping you'll overlook that.

The front lights always seemed a bit dodgy to me, they would dim quite significantly when I put my foot down and the car had only just been started. I thought this was just a quirk of the car. Just recently, one of the right indicators stopped working intermittently. I couldn't find any loose connections etc...

Now, the screen washer has stopped working and the wipers are behaving strangely. Normally, when I tap the stalk up once, the auto wipers kick in. When I do the same now, they only work when I hold the stalk up in the first position or I push up fully and they stay on. When I knock them off, they stay where they stop (don't return to normal position.)

Also, the headlamps (low beam) switch themselves off after a few seconds and the computer kindly informs me of this fact. Oh, and the high beam stop working after a few pushes too...

Has anybody got any idea what's wrong? I'm starting to think the car's possessed!

    Cheers,
    DarkNite

the way that the systems are failing, i wonder if it's the CIM module failing as all the problems run Via the Column and it's PCB..Dealer only job to find out..

    Thanks.

Is a CIM expensive to replace?

Just to add a little extra to this really strange problem. When I switch on all the lights including high beam and they subsequently go out, the indicator starts flashing normally again and the washer/wipers return to normal - WTF!?
