    Default Oh the pain!!

Arrrggh! Those Kosovans put several scratches in the roof! I didn't notice until I returned to the car after shopping. At first I thought I was seeing things, then I couldn't believe what I was seeing, then I realised I was staring at a long arcing 10 inch scar across the paint, on closer inspection there are also two smaller and deeper scratches revealing bare metal. To add injury, there's also some sort of pressure indentation next to the two smaller scratches, obviously some grit had gotten into the leathers they used to wipe the car down with. I can't find any other scratches anywhere else on the coachwork.

I'm still in two minds whether to go back and kick up a storm, I realise how futile that would be, suffice to say that's the last time I let someone or something touch my Vec.

The 10 inch scratch can be fixed easily I guess, the bare metal needs immediate attention, and I'm not sure how to address the indentation. I need suggestions folks.

    I know, I know.

If we go 'round now we can ambush 'em and knock ten bells out of them. Oh sorry, you meant help with the paint work !

If you've got anything that I can use to treat the bare metal that would be handy, at the moment I'm at a loss

If you've got an old touch up paint, use the clear lacquer to stop the bare metal rusting.

I'd go and take out the Kosovans first Then come back & deal with the car, people have no respect for other peoples property nowadays..

Phew, had some touch up paint & lacquer that was used for my previous car. That's the exposed metal taken care of for the time being. I don't think t-cut's the right stuff for the 10 inch scratch, it's deep enough to look a different colour to the rest of the paint work. Might need a specialist scratch person to look at it.

That's exactly what I was referring to in my thread earlier today. No way on this earth would I let car park washers/car wash places anywhere near my car.

Sorry to hear though - bet you'll never do that again!
