    Default rattle from dash

    guys i hope you can help. i have a really annoyin rattle from my dash. sometime its there when i first start the car on idle but its always there about 2000rpm. any ideas what it could be or else how i can take some of the dash appart to try and find it. any help would be great thanks

    Try your steering wheel height adjustment....
    Just had the same thing,took me about 3 days to isolate the rattle

    Just pulled it down to enable adjustment,then pushed it back up nice and tight,
    and wot ya know? Rattle gone

    Hope it solves your problem.....

    This might sound stupid but when you hear the rattle put some pressure on the glove compartment, it could be one of the mounting screws (5 in total) that have come away...this happened on my 2003 Vectra...

    You could check the vents on the top of the dash....sometimes I get noises from up there...HTH

    hey i think i found it. it was right at the front of the car just under the bonnet as this part was held in with 2 nuts but 1 was missin so the thing could vibrate but i dont know what the part is lol. somehow this vibratin travelled into the cabin and i thought it was from dash. so glad i found it it waas doin my head in lol

    Could you take some pics of it mate...might help someone around here that has the same issue

    Any hints to find annoying rattles helps - my front ashtray rattles sometimes - rest a hand on it & it stops but I'm not sure how to cure it

    Mine also does this, I've not found a solution yet.
