    Angry Dealer advice

My car went into the dealers last week on Tuesday and Wednesday to have the dual mass flywheel and clutch replaced under warranty.
All went well apart from the electic windows not being programed back in to do the full up & down (finger off button) anyway went to wash the car today and noticed my front nearside alloy (scuff and chip free) had greasy foot prints on it and about four chips (largest chip about the size of a peanut)

Looks as if the wheel has been dropped to cause that much damage, So needless to say i'm off to the dealers tommorrow to complain, but has anyone else had this sort of thing before, and/or what's the best thing to say?
    thanks FD

unfortunatly you may have to climb a mountain to get them to accept that they caused the damage.....good luck on this one..

They put a large scratch in the bonnet when they replaced an engine on mine. I saw it as I picked it up so just went in and complained there and then as a guy was booking his service, fare to say they didn't even ask to see it just booked it straight in to be sorted.

hmm cud be a difficult one depending on how long ago it was at the dealers..have noticed a chip in an alloy on mine that wasnt there before my insurance took it but has been a few weeks later since i noticed it..not worth me mentioning it..

Thats one of the annoying things, as i do walk around the car every time i get it back, but never checked the alloys (until next visit) as thought that they couldn't damage the wheels (D'oh) how wrong am I!

mine was damaged after a service. large scratches to the rear offside rear. only noticed the next when washing the car. phoned the dealers up and took the car to the service manager. attached no blame to the garage but stated that i did not cause it.

spoke to him nicely and got the rear resprayed free of charge.

you have nothing to lose, the dealers loses their good customer reputation.

so they might repair it....give it a go.....
