    confused Noise from rear?

Hi am new to this forum.

I have a problem with my Vectra 2L sri..
It makes a clanking noise from the rear passenger side when driving some times while cornering but most off the time its when going over bumps. Its not the Exhaust as I have had a new one fitted and the noise is still there its like metal hitting metal.. Any ideas as to what this could be?

    Thanks in advance!

Not a clue what it is but i have potentially the same problem, doesnt always happen but often will when cornering, and i have notes of exhaust being replaced and clamps too but still a knocking on the service notes.

Sorry to butt in but id like to know what it is too

There was a problem with early C`s which gave a clonking sound to the rear, it was a problem with the b or c pillar and was fixed under warranty .

the only way you'll ever find it out is to get the car jacked up and have a good look underneath with a prybar.. if it's not something you can do, then it's dealeer time..

Hi gregg, try to climb under the car with out jacking it up at 1st as jacking it will tighten all the suspension components (anti-roll bar drop-links, arms e.t.c...) try to wiggle anything that looks like it moves, sumtimes a small pri-bar helps find excessive play.
Then car the car up and do the same. If its that noisey you will notice it straight away.
