    Default Dumbest question ever?

Is there a way of telling if the cambelt has been changed? Im chasing up service history but not getting many answers. Was originally told that my car had a cam chain?!! Wish I had consulted this forum first!

3.2's have a cambelt with a VX service interval of 80,000 miles... However I change mine every 40,000 miles..unfortunatly there is no real way of 'telling' unless you actually get the belt off and in your hands..

I too would get it changed. I always put a new cam belt on it I have to take it of for lets say a new water pump..... unless I has changed it very resently.

not bieing funny, but an 02 car is coming close on the timespan let alone the mileage..so if you have 1/2 a suspicion that it hasn't been done, get it changed ASAP
