    Default 2.2 Sri

Hi, I have a 2.2 SRI, 53 reg, it has 55,000 miles, how often does the timing belt / chain need changing, I don't know if it has had a new one or not but it is due a service and i would have it done if the need be, any advice would be great.

Chain on that one so should be good for 100k - normally let you know if all is not well by becoming noisey

As far as i know,a chain should be good for the life of the engine, unless it becomes noisy then it needs changing.

Nice car all the same though, pretty quick when pushed, much quicker than my last 2.0 golf gti, i'm pretty impressed, I had a couple of cavalier sri's in the early 90s and they were pretty good so i'm not surprised at the vectra, just flamin thirsty !!
