    Default Locking wheel nuts

Had my wheels balanced again yesterday ( these 17" alloys are a s*d to balance accurately) and the guy reckoned vx locks are rubbish, he'd had 2 break and could'nt get the wheel off, any one else heard of this?

to be honest, most of the factory locking nuts are useless. most you can get off with a normal socket an a hammer.
if you value your wheels then i would certainly recommend McGard lockers.
they are priced at around 32 sheets for a pack, but well worth it.
All i would say to anyone that has them is to register them with McGard, and don't loose the key.\Otherwise it means a replacement key from McGard in Germany.

Just to give you an idea of what they are like...
They have been tested and they reckon it will take AT LEAST 2 1/2 hours to drill one McGard locking bolt/nut off.

(oh no, i'm entering sales mode again )

    if you goto this page
then it gives you the part numbers.
you will just need to measure the length of your original bolt, coz i can't remember it of the top of me head.
failing that just phone up a McGard dealer... like Demon Tweeks (01978 664466) and ask
