    Default brake sensor new disc and pads

    front brake sensor light came
    on today.do i have to go to vauxhall to get it looked at.had a good look at them and there is a lot of brake bust on wheels? hope they been fitted right.can any one give me any help reasion what going on.

    Hey DECO, welcome. Depending on its age, I would just take it to your normal, local garage. The same happened to me, I took it in and found that the pads were fine. Some vec's have a fault where the brake pad warning light flashes for no reason, and the only thing that Vx do to put things right is to turn the sensor off.

    if you do need new pads, don't forget you'll need a new sensor lead as well, once they have worn down they need changing..

    I think he has just had new pads fitted Mark, if I understood his post. So as you say it should have had a new sensor wire fitted. Looks like they've knackered the last one by trying to reuse it.
