Math's i'm bad.

Well like i wrote I'm bad at math's.
So can somebody explain how i work out.
580 miles from a tank.
44.50 filled up.
580 miles was until the warning came on the satnav screen saying i need to fuel up.
Not sure how many liters it is for a signum tank.

How many mpg am i getting for real.

My computer Say's 52.2 mpg.

b) the price per litre to get £44.50 so we can work out a)

And just to clarify, you paid £44.50 to do 580 miles? That's bl00dy good! At my usual 42mpg, I get around 450 miles for about £55

I paid 96.9p per liitre.
Not sure how much was in the tank but it was nearly empty.

OK....£44.50 / 96.9p = 45.9 litres.

45.9 litres = 10.09 gallons.

580 miles / 10.09 gallons = 57.48 mpg

Very impressive!

Bet there were alot of motorway miles in there? If you sit at 60mph on the cruise contol you might even see 70mpg!

if you sit in 6th at 60mph it is unreal the mpg you can get out of a Vectra, likewise anything over 80 and you may aswell throw money out the window!

I think things got a bit mixed up.
I found out the signum has a 60 litre tank.
So lets say i done 580 miles from full until the warning came on the screen.
So it's got to be less than 57 me thinks.
Back to the math's please.
