Relating to vauxhalls, you put them in a cd70 or dvd90 headunit and it uses the map data on the cd to plan routes for you. different discs cover different countries, and updated versions are released each year.

    Sat Nav Discs,
There are currently about 4 or 5 different stereos fitted to the Vectra that have built in Sat Nav:
    NCDC2013
    NCDC2015
    CD70
    CD90
    Maybe more.

They each take their own version of a CD (you can't use a CD70 version in a NCDC2013 stereo for example)

On the CD is has all the maps etc that the system uses. And each year a new updated version comes out for each stereo.
They also come out for different countries too. Germany, France, Poland, UK & Ireland Etc. They all have the maps on the discs, but they stereo itself is what speaks it out in English, so if you buy a France Map disc for example, it will still give you directions in English because your stereo is set to English.

It's very useful to have the updates discs as new roads are made all the time, and diversions etc. They retail for around £100 each just for the discs. You can buy the Europe Edition which would work out cheaper at about £120 and will have about 8 different countries disc included.

They also sell on Ebay for a lot cheaper. Makesure you buy genuine though. Copies work, but are naughty.

£120 is very cheap for the Europe set ; the CD70 set retails at 329 euro, but because of several actions at dealers it is possible to find one for around 240 euro. The Europe set has 9 CD's and covers the whole of Europe (32 countries, not Russia...)
You can use the CD's in the DVD90 but this one uses normally one DVD with 30 countries on and the MarcoPolo Travel guide (269 euro).
All NCDx navi systems use another set of CD's - also made by Navteq; these are a little less expensive - the set retails at 299 euro but has only 25 countries

I've got 2006/2007, but it's only one disk - is it right??

I acquired it, but don't even know if it works. It's Navi CD70, and i don't even know for sure what it is!
