mis fire problem.....
my cdti has just started "mis-firing/chugging" ....... garage has put the diagnostics on and the above code has come up - can any one help please on what it can be? "PO704"
spaner light also flashing up every now and then but think that is due to it needing a service in the next few weeks.
PLEASE HELP!!

didnt cure it...
thanx mate - just spoke to the garage and he cleared that code and it hasnt come back now so nothing wrong there.
He is going to do a fuel filter and oil change next week to see if that cures it, needs a service now anyway.
if that doesnt do it he reckons it may be a doodgy batch of diesel as we put in £15 last night so a bit suspect.....

we are thinking maybe its some dodgy diesel we have bought?
To be honest it could be a number of things -
Faulty injector(s)
Faulty wiring to the injector
Air Mass Sensor (have you oiled a K&N panel filter lately?)
Blocked fuel filter
Diesel Fuel Pump
Dreaded Swirl Valve
Or it could be some dodgy diesel as you say.
What garage are you using? I take it it's not a Vx dealer otherwise they'd be able to tell you what the code means?
