Default clever pc bods assistance if poss

    Got a couple of problemo's

firstly how do I open a pdf file but then save it as a jpg. as so I can edit in a drawing/photoshop package

    firstly ta for that

secondly I fancy buying myself one of those graphics tablets so i can use a pen to draw on coral draw etc. anybody got a recommendations on them obviously the professional ones are gonna be massively expensive I was after a cheapish but still half decent one.

    Thanks guys and gals

    hi mate,
not sure about the pdf file, but try right click on the image and see if you can save it, failing that, take a screen shot and paste in photoshop or paint and save as a jpeg

as for the tablet, Wacom make some good ones, my lass is a graphic designer and also draws with them and she says there pretty much the best , they start from about £30 ish to stupid money, £300 +

You've hinted you have corel......I have Graphics Suite 11 and that lets me open most PDFs including encypted ones.

I got a small tablet from Argos and it does teh job for me (£40)

I use corel X, you can open pdf's and export it as a bmp, jpeg etc... Same with corel 12 and CS2.

Wacom are definitely the more well known. I've used Wacoms for years and they are top notch - but that bit dearer. Depends what you want out of it. On the Wacom ones the pens/tablets are pressure sensitive so you can make tools adjust their intensity etc. just by leaning harder, the cheaper ones I suspect won't have that feature.

How is Corel x compared to Corel 11? I've been consideringan upgrade recently.
