Default 302mm calipers, discs, set of aftermarket and OEM pads - price reduced.

Got a complete set of 302mm front brakes from my 2.0T as I upgraded to the 314mm setup earlier this year. These would be a good upgrade for somebody with 285mm fronts who didn't want to spend the extra on the 314mm setup. 285mm are what will be fitted to the 1.8, 2.0/2.2DTi and 1.9CDTi

The calipers have obviously been on my car since new and are in good condition. I fitted new discs and pads which were on the car for about a month before Matt's (Maverick) 314mm came up for sale so have covered hardly any miles. Initially I bought the disc and pad kit which came with aftermarket pads and they were on for about a fortnight. I then bought separately the much better OEM pads which were also on for about a fortnight so they are practically new.

Caliper - all cleaned up in preparation. Painted in the Foliatec Blue - can easily be repainted in a different colour.

    Discs

The whole lot - there are obviously other bits included like the caliper holders and all the bolts etc. needed - just not in the picture.

OEM pads - Ferodo ones as you can see.

On the car for less than a fortnight so practically new

So, included in the sale are......
    • Pair of 302mm calipers painted in blue Foliatec
    • Pair of 302mm discs which were on the car for less than a month.
    • Set of the better Vx OEM (Ferodo) pads - on the car for around a fortnight.
    • Set of Vx aftermarket pads - again on the car for around a fortnight.
    • All the other bolts, etc. necessary to fit them.
Looking for £150 for the lot. They could be delivered but they are effing heavy so I'd say £175 delivered by courier.

    Any questions, let me know.

    D

Price drop to £125 to get them out of the way, then it's onto eBay they go.

Replied. Your 2.0DTi will have 285mm fronts so these will still be an upgrade.

Any idea what upgrades are available for the rear brakes mate...? Planning on 314mm kit in the future, would be handy to do the rears too if possible...

Yes, they will fit your car. Yours will have 285mm fronts.

Your rears will be 278mm, the 2.0T and GSi/3.0CDTi have 292mm so that's a potential upgrade - but TBH if you do the 314mm front upgrade you may not want to faff around doing the backs - it's a bit more involved than the fronts.

You might be better just getting some grooved discs for the rears - there's all sorts of complicated bits to change if you start messing with the calipers.
