    Default Rain sensitive wipers

Could anybody tell me would it be possible to get these switched off and revert to "normal" wipers ie have an intermittant setting? These things seem to have a mind of their own and to be honest are damn annoying, if its drizzling and not raining they don't come on even with the sensitivity turned to maximum, then you go on the motorway and one drop of water and all hell breaks loose! Seems like a poor design to me but maybe mine just isn't working properly. Thanks in advance.

Mine are the same...when it rains proper..they're great...drizzle=they wipe just before you hit the car infront lol i sometimes think it'd be better just as std intermittent...perhaps with variable timing...could try asking vx if they could deactivate it and give you the base model wiper option.

Glad its not just me the missus was wetting herself laughing at me on sunday as i called them every name under the sun. Goibg in for service in the next couple of weeks so will see if anything can be done about them. Not much fun driving with your hand constantly pressing the wiper stalk down is it

Occasionally if my auto wipers seem to be a bit slow to react, I move the sensitivity control up and down which causes the wipers to clear the screen. I agree they are not perfect, but remember they have a sensitivity control, and at least they are not in use unnecessarily and do not need to be turned off manually as they would be if they were manual and it stops raining.

Personally I don't really think it's such a big deal. Bit like the indicators, OK once you get used to them.

iirc with my 03 Veccy if you went passed auto to full wipers, then back, they were intermittent (ie timed) not rain sensitive.
