Induction Kits sound **** on the 1.8 engine, I had one on mine for all of 10 minutes before I was too embarresed to drive it!!! And it didnt improve the performance at all, it made it less responsive.

Did the trick for my XE18 Astra G... different engine bay layout for the Vec though, so probably makes a huge difference.

The new 1.8`s are 140bhp, if it is just a software upgrade it would be an awesome mod ...

New 1.8's are VVT based. It is a different kettle of fish.

    Yahoo - motors -

14 per cent more power, consumes four per cent less fuel, has improved flexibility and is a good deal more refined. The 140bhp power output means the new 1.8-litre engine is one of the most powerful in this class, but its far from being a highly-stressed race engine with peaky power delivery. Thanks to advanced valve and cam phasing technology, 90 per cent of the 175Nm maximum torque is available from 2200 to 6200 rpm.

well i have now had a powerflow exhaust fitted and also the ramair maxflow induction kit from regal, the exhaust alone was pretty good but now with the induction kit its excellent would recommend it. Feels like its improved the bhp but dont know by how much. Regal said they tested them on a standard 1.8i veccy c and it made 8 bhp more.
