    depends on why..
an after market panel filter (Courtneys, LMF, etc) will help improve the breathing.
the induction kit will also give a nice induction sound.
but neither will really give you much extra bhp.

i would go for a panel filter myself and when fitting you can remove a couple of plastic bits from inside the airbox to improve the airflow further.

As cyb said though neither will ip the power much

There is a pipe on the bottom under the filter which clips out, then on the top you can cut the pipe which goes in down flush as well.

I thought you had a viper on though ??

Personally on the Astra G - the panel filter worked well - but the filter and the engine block were closer together - but as a known good combination I would recommend it for the C.

So if i was to sorry to interrupt here guys but if i was to fit a full stainless steel exaust system and a viper induction kit this wouldn't improve the bhp.

cus i thought it would would'nt you say?
iwas told the other day from a guy who specialises in these type of things that if your going to fit a induction kit to your car then you also need to change the exaust to get full gain out of your induction.

or you could alternativly change your back box instead.
i don't know how accurate this info is but it sounded pretty good.

something to do with the vauxhalls back box being chambered and a example:scorpion: not being chambered so it can release the exaust gasses alot quicker as the engine sucks it in.so they work together.hope this helps .

I firstly mis-read the Andy's question - and started listing inlet manifolds, remaps, exhausts decatting etc - but then re-read his last line -
