Pre-facelift Irmy front spoiler question

I keep catching my irmy front spoiler on just about everything. In and out of multi story car parks etc. I have just been out and measured the distance from the bottom of it to the ground and at the front its 4.5" and near the wheel arch its 5.5". Is this right for the standard height? I can't even reverse into my next house as the drives got a slope on it and it grounds out.

What height are all yours? Mines a Design model it it helps as I know they are a bit lower normally anyway.

mine has sri suspension on it as standard and it is sooooooooooooooooooo close to the ramp of my drive..........

will measure the gap when the missus get's back from the hair dresser's

They are quite low, mine was on for about a week, caught it so many times and eventually knocked it so hard it had to come off!
Proper shame as they look the absolute business!

I don't really have any prblems with mine. Am even confident in 3 point turns down my street whch has average height kerbs & I let the tyres touch them with no problems.
As for car parks or ramps again no problems.

Anyone got any measurments? I just dropped off an old BBQ at the local recyling centre and nearly ripped it off!

I thought they didn't sit any lower than the black plastic trim, I keep catching my trim on kerbs and as long as I go slowly around the multi storey or over some speed bumps I am fine and I have an SRi which has been lowered a bit more on eibachs

Keep toying with a splitter and keep pondering if it would be possible to install a parking sensor in it so it would detect the kerb height expecially for parking forwards into spaces.

What i'm wondering is "has my car been lowered?" I know its had a few cosmetic mods but I have no idea how many were done. I know the design is lower than the elite and Elegance but I don't know if mine is lower than the normal design. I just can't believe how many times I catch it. There is loads of paint missing now, there is no point in me repainting it as it will be damaged again within a week.

mine is an sxi hatch so has sri suspension on it and with the tape at various places it is 5 1/5 inches at it lowest point and 6 1/2 at it's highest, pics too.....sorry for the delay i forgot about it

and it is the copy irmscher one from e-bay.........
