    confused Handbrake Cover

Maybe I bought the wrong thing but I quite like the Richbrook cover. The only problem is I can't figure out how to get this original one off.

Duncan believes it doesn't come off due to it's design and the Richbrook one does not fit over the top like the Irmscher ones.

Has anyone else fitted one to a C? I know lots of people have told me about removing it from a B and it was just a matter of pulling on the handbrake cover but it seems to be making some weird noises. I also know of someone who did it in their brand new VXR Astra. I would have thought a brand new VXR Astra would have a similar handbrake to a Vectra C

    Why is it so hard

One suggestion I had was to use a soldering iron to burn it off. I don't mind destroying it as long as I can use the Richbrook one as my cover.

There is what feels like an allen screw on the underside of the handle towards the back. Run your finger along the underside and you will come to it. If it is, try to loosen it and see if that does it.
