Default Vectra as a tow car

Some of you may think I'm daft but I bought my Vectra 2.2 Auto 52 for only one reason. I was looking for a tow vehicle for my caravan (eat your heart out Clarkson !) and was offerred this - wifey only has auto licence so I thought she could share it with me (ah.........)
It is an excellent tow vehicle even as an auto and I am very pleased with it.
Is it committing sacrilege to use a Veccie like this?
    Am I bovverred?

Yeah, my 2.2 came with a tow bar, I've asked the dealer to remove it. Previous owner used it to pull a water bike.

I was worried about putting dents into other cars when parking, seeing as rear visibility is restricted.

Really? Only a seasoned tow bar owner would have realised that. Come to think of it, the tow bar didn't look too bad.

I towed with both my previous 2 Vectra SRi 1.9 CDTi 150's and now with the Signum. They make a really good tow car.

Tks all - confirms what I have found. Very good tow vehicle but as IZO says rear visibility means being careful when parking.
