Default I've finally lost patience with Vauxhalls cra* engines

Car's been really poorly with several EML and limp modes over the last few days. Booked in today and injectors 2 & 3 have gone. Not bad considering they were only replaced 5000 miles ago. So that will be 9 new injectors within 10000 miles.

Had to go in this afternoon to pick up a hire car, 1.9 150 SRI hatch in moonland silver. No toys no sat nav but at least it's better than the last one which was an Exclusive.

Told them to get on to vauxhall and te field rep and find me a new car cause I don't want it back and the cheeky bu**er said it should be ready Friday.

No parts in the UK on back order from Germany and £900 a pot. Another £1800 on my warranty bill.

Hells bells - you must have good cause to be able to reject that car now, It's the only 3.0CDTi that I've heard of with a catalogue of issues like yours!!

This is going to upset a few members on here and I'm sorry if it does, but in my opinion all the Vauxhall CDTi's are absolutely c**p. They're using inferior parts that aren't up to the job and the technicians are severely under trained.

Once a CDTi has had a problem and had a Vx technician look at it it never seems the same and more problems occur.

This is why I will not be buying another CDTi. I'd rather pay the extra fuel cost and get a petrol.

Again, sorry if this offends, but it's my opinion, and I used to shout it from the roof tops how good these latest generation of diesels are/were.

no need for apologies alex, but based on the amount of cdti's there is out there, and the amount of known faults, they cant be that bad!! as for the vx muppets, i completely agree

no it wasn't matey, but it never went without and was serviced over and above Vauxhall recommendations. But there's countless cars out there with the same problems that have been driven by Miss Daisy's driver.

I agree about the training aspect, but I can only speak from personal experience, I have had two 1.9 150's covering over 100,000 miles between the two and the engines have been perfect in every way, and my 3.0 has done 20,000 miles with me and again no issues.

I understand some people have had bad experiences and they of course are entitled to raise their view point. But to say all Vauxhall CDTi engines are **** is a but over the top. Apart from the Antara 2.0 CDTi, which is ****!!!
