Talking New Audi TT 'Safety Feature'

This made me PMSL when I saw it today.....

Mum's thinking of changing her car, and her house is littered with brochures. I picked up the TT one while I was having a coffee, and flicked through it.

One of the standard features is an 'aerodynamic rear spoiler' which automatically extends whan the car reaches 74mph.

So.....for any of our resident traffic boys.....if you see an new TT roadster or coupe with its spoiler up, bag it - it's guaranteed it's over the limit!

Classic! I thought they would have learnt from the Porsche that did the same thing! As soon as it popped up it was guaranteed it was doing a good bit over the limit!

Audi's learnt its lesson from the old model, hence the "safety" feature tag...

No they haven't, they still make the bl00dy things
I can't stand TT drivers, they're worse than BMW drivers. I used to ask customers I was installing their hands free kit for if they were forced to have one as a company car or did they actually choose it.
Got to admit though the 3.2 quattro coupe's are rocket.

It won't be a problem though, all new TT's have a switch on the centre console, which allows you to raise and lower the spoiler at any speed manually.

Unless the police actually clock the driver over the limit, the fact that the spoiler was up would not stand up in court. The owner could quite easily say he/she had it raised manually.
