    Default In car MP3 storage

Is there a specially made disk drive that could installed into the boot to store MP3's. I have ssen this done on the American 'pimp my ride' and the had 1 TB of storage for songs which worked out at over 1 million could be stored. Personally i would only need hard drive of about 80 gb. Anyone got any links to sites that do this kind of thing??

I bought one when they first came out.. was a neo unit and it had a 250gig hard drive. it had interface leads to connect to my headend to control it as a cd-changer.. The audio connection was to my amp via 2 phono connections, was great in principle and actually worked if u turned up the hardrive unit on first, then the headunit interface and then finally the radio.. Not to mention the interference i was getting..

Hope they've improved on the technology now as this was about 3yrs ago..

That's how it started years ago .
Now the majority of people uses Ipods for obvious reasons which really limits what manfacturers will make specificlly for in car use.

hi, i just installed a blaupunkt hamburg m57 got it from http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/hamburg.asp comes with a 40 gb hard drive and all the cables to connect it to the head unit, works great, i also know you can get the bigger versions of the hard drive on eblag, think they go up beyond 100gb, you could just buy a head unit and pick up a hard drive from eblag. i personally got the 40 gb unit and its big enough for my needs. have 60 odd albums on it at the moment and its not half full yet.

hope this is of some use.

Anybody know or think of a way of connecting something like this to my Pioneer DEH P70BT headunit.

The HU has RCA inputs and the BUS connector.

Is this a job for the Denison ICE link

    Cheers

Thats just a general USB harddisk, I'm not up to speed with the Dension ICE Link but if it supports USB drives then chances are it may work.
