i am not a detailer nor a stone chip repairer.


Trying to repair two stones chips on my bonnet I have sanded into the paint and left two scorch marks.

phoned my local paintshop and it can only be fixed by a total bonnet repair cost £200.

So unfortuately there will be a slightly damaged silver estate on your stand at Trax.

have you tried the guys at chipsaway - might be a bit cheaper!

i was using 1500 grit paper. I wanted 2000 or 3000 but the local car shop chap is on holiday until 4/9/07.

and yes I am frankily phioning round chipsaway to see if anyone can do it for the weekend.

taking it to the bodyshop tonight...been promised that it will be ready for Saturday.
