Fuel price and choice

If you could pay the same for normal Shell unleaded and normal Asda unleaded without being inconvenienced at all, which would you use and why?

I wonder what the difference in these 2 fuels would be (if any). Has anyone got any facts to clarify the situation?

At the end of the day, they will both conform to BS 7070, so is there any difference in the fuels??

As always with me, facts are better than opinions.

I always just buy the cheapest.

I'm not convinced there are any differences.

But with Whiskey, well that's different!

my car always runs better on shell, seems to have more torque better pickup.

Never ever had a problem with Asda fuel. Usually use that or Shell and TBH don't notice any difference, but I don't go looking for any either. Asda seem to be doing more than any of the other multiples to keep prices down, unlike Tesco.

My tuppence worth...

My car's through the years, have always run better on Shell fuel than Supermarket ****, my old 2.0 SRI Petrol was awful on S/M stuff, it ran like a bucket of sh*t, put Shell in it and it was fine. My current diesel is similar, it runs shi*te on S/M stuff, but seems to get more miles from it, than it does from Shell fuel when it runs really well!

There aint a shell garage close to me or a supermarket one so i use Texaco stuff, does the job for me, but im starting to use the premium stuff now rather than the old stuff.
