Default Whats the furthest you've driven??

I meant to post this Saturday but forgot.

While i was doing bits to my car at my brother garage on Saturday morning, i got chatting to a young lad who was having his wheel alignment done on an F plate Nova. Proper Boy racer, lowered, Flip paint, etc, but looked tastelful. Anyway, he got telling me that on Monday just gone, he was driving his F plated Nova to Rome..... Yes you did read it right, Rome in Italy, In an F plated Nova!

Anyway, got me to thinking about the furthest i have driven in a car. Probabaly Inverurie in Scotland in the UK, and into Europe it would be Amsterdam.
Where's the furthest you have driven for pleasure??

    The Algarve.

Went to visit friends, Wasn't to keen on flying - Hate Faro airport with a vengace - so took my old Veccy!

1350 miles door to door. Or two and a half days gentle driving, including exploring Bordeaux, Madrid, Cordoba, Angouleme to name but a few cities!

When I lived in Mexico city (yeap I`m a city boy) drove several times to San Antonio Texas in the US....which is about a 14-15 hour trip....guess that the longest trips by car....most of them on the "pocket rocket" a VW Golf GTI...a fun thing to drive

The furthest I've driven is only 400 miles, but the longest I have ever driven is 13hrs staright over the same distance. The worst journey ever in my life adn second to that was 9hrs straight when I got caught in the floods a few months ago, that was only over about 170 miles. Must admit they tested my endurance and my temper to the limit.

I once drove 1188miles from Sydney to Adelaide via, Canberra, Melbourne and the Great Ocean Drive.

That was an overnight in Canberra, 2 nights in Melbourne, then non stop to Adelaide. About 21 hours driving, but some stunning views and scenery

    Cheers

I drove Aberdeen to Brest, In France. I had only passed my test a few months earlier but was a great experience to learn the rules of the road.
