    Default Tyre time again

Well after shopping around i finally managed to get a price for my tyres. i had to get all 4 so price and quality was an issue

I managed to get 4 Falken ZE512 225/50/17 at £275 all in fitted to the car.

Does anyone know what these are like, they feel nice so far.

    Strange size maty , isn't it 215/50/17 or 225/45/17 ?

I'd be interested in any reviews as I need to get two tyres for the wifes Astra SRI !

225 will fit on the GSI / Elite wheels, and seeing as the 215 and 225 where the same price, i thought what the hell, go for the wider width.

not a bad tyre to be honest and a hell of a lot cheaper than the goodyear

I had a set on the front of my mk3 astra, thought they were grippy enough but have to one of the softest tyres I've had they never lasted long at all.

    You mean 225/45/17?

I think you're right in that if you go for 225's Vauxhall recommend a 45 profile, not 50 (as noted in the handbook from memory).

Still interesting to see what they are like as I'll soon need a couple.

Give me a tinkle when you're ready, Wish Tony had said something too, could have sorted you out a deal.

ZE-512 is a good enough tyre for the price. Dad has them on his Mazda and he's happy with them.
