    Default Best Handling Vectra....

OK, so who's got the best handling Vectra ???

    How could we tell ???

There are so many combinations on here with Eibach, PI, Bilstein, Strut Braces, Anti-Roll Bars... etc etc....

Has anyone driven a vectra where they thought the suspension was set up brilliantly.... ??? If so, what have they done and what car do they have ??

    Just interested in any feedback.

    The beast (RIP) had:

PI springs, Koni FSD shocks, 18" Goodyear F1's.

Changed lanes once approaching 120mph, car didn't bat an eyelid, flying suitcase avoided. She could feel a little harsh at times, but it was almost impossible to upset her.

i think mines a little to stiff to be the best. but it does go round corners like a go kart.

From experience I would say Vectras on 18s, strut brace, eibach springs and bilstein shocks. I think 19s kill the handling on the Vectra.

Saying that its all down to personal preference, I need a system that offers standard comfort on cruising but stiffened and lowered for track/heavy use, nothing can offer both.

I have driven cars with height and damper adjustment and got the ride spot on in the past, but it was always spot on for the job it was doing. Setting up a suspension package for all modes is impossible, at least better than standard (IMHO)

I'm voting for a Signum on 19's with Design 'sports' suspension!

    But then I would, wouldn't I??

Joking aside, it does show the old SRi (bless it) the way home.

Mind you, I'd like to try proper tyres out on it! I'm sorry to say, I'm not a fan of the Continentals fitted to it. Fine in the dry, if noisy, but absolutely lethal in the wet. Talk about aquaplain! Sadly they're brand new, so will be with me for some time yet.. Oh for a set of F1's!!

I always thought that was the Continentals party piece, great wet grip?
