Almost have my new car - a couple of q's

Hi all. I posted a little while back introducing myself and asking about high mileage problems with the 150 engine.

I should be picking up the car on Wednesday (touch wood) and since then have almost abandoned my own forum and have pretty much read the whole of this one

If I may, I have a couple of questions regarding info I have aread on here.

1) My car is (or will be) an 04 plate 150 sri. It has done 108000 motorway miles, would the swirlpot problem have raised its head if it was going to by now?

2) I read somewhere that early 2004 models had a batch of dodgy turbos, could you enlighten me with regards to this?

3) given it has done 108000, what can I expect to break in your opinion? Or what should I do to prevent something from breaking?

Thats all I have for now, and cant wait to actually get the car, and then start adding my own advice to this place. If anyone has a Suzuki Bandit, then I can help with that

have you cked the service and warrenty history on the car ........if any of the faults have happened they would be listed ......but as it has done all that mileage i,m sure it would of by now ......as for things breaking hmmmmmmmmm do things ever break on the vectra ?

Hehehe.

I checked through the service book and it was all filled in as being done by a Vauxhall dealer. Once I have the car I will give it a good going over and check all the bits out in detail.

if it has full single dealer service history, ask them for all the paperwork they have on file for any other work that they have done on it, i'm sure the will give it to you m8
