Been making a new garden gate, reconcreting the base, fitting new gate posts and concreting a curved 'ramp' where the gate sits over (as the ground is at slightly different levels either side of the gate) The previous owners used partly sunken bricks and we were getting fed up of wheeling things in (wheely bins, pressure washers etc.) and it thumping up and over the brick part - so that's kept me busy until now!

Fun part was getting to use the chiselling attachment for my hammer drill to get the bricks out!! Biiiig power tools - definitely a man thing!!

Need to nip back out and put some stuff away....

I don't know about you's but i personally am fed up with the standard of tv programmes in this country. Big Brother (total ****e in my opinion) finishes ,X-factory begins.Thankfully there'll be no celeb BB this year because Jade Goody embarrased the whole of the UK with her behaviour IMHO.After x-factory we have poop idol . It's a worse than ground hog day it's GROUND HOG YEAR.

Been out sailing all day - Burnham Week.

On the water at 11 and off at 4.30 trying to sail in no wind in an unfamiliar boat in a 3 knot tide. Ghastly.

They call it fun. The one time the wind got up I got out on the trapeze wire and promptly got teabagged by the helm. Getting too old for crewing.

Got moaned at when I cam home for being out "enjoying" myself all day

Watched a bit of TV tonight but as it is the holiday season it was rubbish

Is it too early to say "Bah Humbug?"
