    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

    Default

    Get in,
Press and hold the trip reset button, turn ignition to pos 2 (ie dash lights on) and continue holding for up to 30 seconds. The mileage counter should reset to 30000 (as it's diesel)

If it's not working then it may be on a different service schedule (don't ask me why etc or how etc, it seems a bit random)

    thanks ste,

i have tried this but no joy will try again tho, i have found some comments that this can only be reset with tech 2 but that does not agree with a new directive bought in recently re competition or something. ill give it a go!

Depends, If you have a Particulate Filter the service indicator = 15K.

Mine reset to 15K (and I dont have a DPF) ... Dealer spent ages and ages trying to reset it to 30K, in the end they reset it to 31K

Need to use the long life oil though GM-LL-25A/B

Didn't think / know about the DPF was different. Learn something every day.

Easiest check for presence of DPF.

On your Car's VIN/ID Plate stuck to drivers B Pillar look at the bottom LHS, if you have 0.50 then you have a DPF, if you have 1.20 then you haven't got a DPF

Here's the exact manual reset procedure taken from the Vauxhall Dealership manual for the Vectra C (bold type below). Worked fine for me but you need to follow to letter. Most important to start procedure with ignition off.

Resetting the flexible service interval (ECOService Flex) with TECH 2

The display for the flexible service interval (time and kilometres) can be reset via the instrument assembly. The engine control unit communicates with the instrument assembly.

    Manual resetting

Ignition OFF. The tachometer display must indicate the trip odometer reading.
Press and hold down reset button (trip odometer button)
Switch ignition ON and wait until the service interval display changes and keep the reset button held down for at least 3 seconds.
After 3 seconds, the tachometer display indicates the symbol with the maximum mileage, 34.000 km for petrol engine or 50.000 km for diesel engine.
The time counter in the instrument assembly is set to 24 months. The engine control unit receives a signal via the CAN bus and the "oil condition" is set to 100 %. The engine control unit and the instrument assembly are now reset.

Notify the customer that a service display accidentally reset by the customer can not be updated again by the Opel dealer. Depending on the mileage driven since the last engine oil change / Main Service, a new engine oil change may be necessary in order to prevent engine damage

    Default service indicator reset

hi all, just noticed that some were struggling a bit by just holding the trip button and turning on, the brake needs to pressed with the trip then turn on and wait about 10 secs and it will reset to original intervals. i was wondering if there is a function to pick your interval as i could on a R reg 306 and thats french!!!
