Default Upgrade to front interior light

Have read a few posts about upgrading standard front interior light. Just been on holiday to fance with car (vectra sri - 56 plate) and on couple of occasions wanted to stop interior light coming on when door opens but can't. It's not pleasant waking up two young kids with a helicopter search light at 3 am I can tell you!!! Really disapointed with this coz every car I've ever driven u can isolate the interior light. Can you stop the light coming on when the door opens with the upgraded unit and if so does it need any additional wiring or is it just a case of replacing new for old??

When you get the maplight mod with the 4 buttons, one of the buttons does turn off the interior light.
It plugs straight in using original plug.
I wouldn't have thought the wiring would any different to pre-facelift versions.

Yep more penny pinching from VX, I have the map reading lights in mine, but just a 3 button version, they have stolen the isolate switch off it which is very annoying ... I would guess when all the four button ones are gone the map reading upgrade will just have the 3 ...

Will be looking to change that in near future. Only have one button on mine at moment which will switch light on but when light is illuminated (ie door open) will not turn it off by pressing same button. Hope that makes sense!! Does anyone know how much they are to buy and can you only buy from VX

Blimey - penny pinching little sods!! Glad the four button came standard on mine! If my next car is a C or a Signum, I can see me swapping a few of my standard bits over!

Marky - as Ian said, the four button unit will give you a button to kill the interior lights so they don't turn on with the doors.

I would like the 4 button version for vanity more than anything else *lol* looks daft with 3 buttons and a blank, they didn`t even make the middle button bigger to fill the space !!!

That would probably cost more in tooling than leaving it as it is
