Default Received and fitted smoked side repeaters - pics.

After buying these from Mrs D, they arrived today so were duly fitted and piccies taken.....

Before - with my standard clear ones

    After

I wondered if the tint would reduce how well the indicator was seen, but bizarrely it seems to be actually more visible as it's a better contrast against the tint than the white........

Small mod, which I'd planned to do at some point by getting some tinting paint and doing it on my clear ones, but Mrs D's came up for sale so I had 'em! The person that she got them from had done the tinting and actually tinted them on the inside of the lens, so must have carefully taken the unit apart and resealed it - they've done a very neat job.

    Waddya think?

So there'll be a pair of clear side repeaters up for sale shortly for anyone who wants to change their orange ones, or wants a spare set of clear ones to have a go at tinting them.

    D

Just get your fingers under the edge nearest to the door and pull outwards, simply unclips.

Nice work D. Why don't you have a go at tinting the originals blue now you have them to play about with.

That's spooky m8 - that's exactly what I was thinking earlier on!! I've got some of the Vx spray paint here so just need to thin it down slightly with some lacquer I think.
