    Default Parrot car kits

Thinking of getting a parrot car-kit, the cheap Evolution one.

The screen is not important to me, are they the same unit with a different screen, or is the quality different?

I have the Parrott with the non colour screen, and it is really good, does the business OK.

Like that one too, the one i was looking at is the one with no screen.

My PDA for work wont work with the screen anyway, so thinking of the cheaper one.

    Default parrott

...have got the CK3000 evo and the ck3100.

The ck3000 is a great piece of kit does everything you need it to and is very inconspicuos in it's install. I would recommed them

I've got the original CK3000 - it's in it's 4th car now, and still going strong. Even with the ancient firmware it works well with my brand new Nokia.

Same here. You can voice tag all your contacts so when the phone rings it will tell you who is calling, so no real need for the screen.

    Default parrot

The only thing to consider as major difference between the 2 is how voice dialling works ( if that particular feature is important to you)

The CK3000 uses the phones voice dialling feature( if indeed it has that feature) and the CK3100 uses on-board voice dialling that is actually part of the carkit - so even if your phone does not have voice dialling you can still use the kit to voice dial.

I would strongly recommend Parrot kits, I have had a multitude of phones and parrot kits work with most ( even Blackberrys!)

The parrots replaced Nokia CK-7W's which were rubbish!

Had a proper play with this kit today.

Anyone needing a basic handsfree for good price get this kit!

Can be totally voice activated, and the way it says name of contact calling is handy.

    Quality is superb.
