Default SRi alloys 'do my head in'

    Every flippin' day.
clean clean clean. These guys look great, buy BOY, do they take some cleaning!!!

After applying as much 'wonder wheels' as they can take (and a few mishaps with the odd kerb), I need some advice on some replacement wheels. (they've been scatched and 'peeled' to b*ggery)

The new ones must be available in 17s and be minimum fuss for maximum looks.

I'm not all that keen on the GSi wheels, although these look a lot easier to maintain than the SRi ones.

    Anyone got any useful ideas?

    Cheers,
    G

You should try cleaning mine then mate.

It sounds like you need some nice smooth five or six spokes. I think the GSI's look fantastic on any Vec.

If I was in the market for new wheels Alex, then yours are the ones I'd go for...well not yours but... well you know what I mean. But the cleaning of them is the only thing that would put me off. It must take you hours just for the wheels

How about a refurb in powder coated black! Think that would look great. No brake dust and somethink unique! Do not know any of hand but there are loads of firms in the auto trader and its not as expensive as you would think.

Try http://www.pitstop-alloys.co.uk/ I bought my 19's from them. They were the cheapest and come with Yokohama's fitted. 17's with tyres are from £440-£500 +vat depending on style.

Thanks mate. I clean them at least once a week, so doesn't take me as long as you think. There's no real intricate bits just lots of spokes.

The Vx 19" wheels are an absolute doddle to clean. Just thought I'd share that with you.
