Default 02 Pay as you Go

Recently changed from pay monthly to PAYG on 02 (cr@p service). I found that my phone stopped diverting calls to my car phone. I've tried to set it up but it won't let me. Any ideas?

I'd call 'customer services' but 02 are the most inept, incompetent bunch of total t@ssers I've ever had the misfortune to come across.

I think, and it is only a think that you cant divert calls from a PAYG.

Something to do with what happens if there is no credit, as it costs a minimal charge to divert calls from 1 phone to another.

I had something similar happen on Orange years ago, and i think that was the excuse/reason they gave me.

Bums. I just changed over to O2 from Vodafone

Been ok so far, but you got me worried now!! tbh, I never thought you could divert from a PAYG, only contract - have had PAYG before, and was never able to. Not sure of the reasons though

B*gger! Guess I'm going to have to look for a VERY cheap monthly contract.

How about free contract for 18 months with a free Sony EricssonK810i on Vodafone. 750 free mins and 250 free texts too.
I know it's by redemption but i did it on my last contract and it worked well

Not too keen on redemption deals. Did it once and it worked ok, but I'm trying to keep monthly costs down at the mo.

I know you're not fond of O2, but I got a mega bargain from them - I didn't want to swap my phone, so I am on their 'Simplicity' package - just a sim card which you put in your existing handset, and for £20 you get 400 minutes and 500 texts. As I was topping up £15 and always running out on PAYG, this was perfect and has saved a fortune!! It's also not as committed as most contracts - you only have to give 30 days if you want to cancel, and Carphone Warehouse are doing your first months rental cashback as you sign up

Virgin do a sim only deal for £15/mth 150 mins and 150 texts but it is a 6 month contract with the first 2 months free so it works out at £10/mth
