Hi all got a spanner light come on only when ignition is on once started goes off its in the little box were it shows if the door is open only just come on car seems to be runnin fine thou any ideas

Get the stealer to plug his box of tricks in to it> he can fin the cause and clear it. Could need a service or anything!

Is it this one:

Indicates a service is due (or a service was done but the light not reset). If service completed you can reset it here.

(it might say INSP instead of mileage, or just have spanner/oilcan, can't remember exactly)

or this one:

Indicates a Fault code stored in ECU. If it disappears on start-up I think the fault is no longer present. Something like 20 or 30 starts without the fault re-currring causes the light to be permantly switched off. If it keeps coming back, take to a dealer to get the fault code read.
