    Question Creaking Suspension....?

The last day or so I've noticed a creaking from the suspension, it happens when I first get in the car (or after the car's been stood for some time)...when I pull out of a parking space and put full lock on. Anyone any ideas?

Do you get it when you 'land' after a speed hump too?

Yep, it's the handbrake shoes, sounds more drastic I know but thats what it is, try this leave it in gear and the handbrake off overnight and see if it does it again, hth.

...it only happens after the car has been stood, set off this morning from a carpark after the car had been stood for 30 minutes, a creak when using full-lock and a creak when exiting the car park over the lip of a small curb.. after that fine.

I do leave it in gear and pull the handbreak up three clicks when I'm parked, will give this a try, thanks Vv!

Which corner(s) seem to be affected? If it was the handbrake, I wouldn't have thought it would bind after only 30 mins standing?

...hard to say but I'd hazzard a guess at the front nearside. If it was the handbrake, would't it just be the back?

Ahhh, i thought you meant as you got in the car it creaked as if a spring was dry, if it's frontal then it won't be the handbrake, could be pads though, have you had new ones recently?

...I've had the car a month now, it was serviced by the dealership prior to me collecting it, but whether it had new pads or not I'm not sure, all I got was a stamp in the service book!

Could be anti roll bar mounts? Do a search for crunching suspension and you should find a few threads about this. They've generally been replaced under warranty if it is this.
